“Tropical Fuzz” is the second studio album of the British-Brazilian Rock duo Yur Mum, and their first as a two-piece band.
Anelise Kunz (Vocals and Bass) and Fabio Couto (Vocals and Drums) talk about the album’s concept:
“We both grew up in Brazil and although we were massively influenced by MTV’s international Rock and Pop, we’d listen to a lot of Brazilian music as well. That’s what tropical fuzz is. It’s Groove meets Heavy. It’s bright and colourful with dark twists. It’s optimistic but sarcastic.
Tropical Fuzz is special to us not only because it’s our first record as a duo but because we’re revisiting our roots. It’s a melting pot of references condensed into only two instruments: bass and drums.”
