After “The Ropes”, which was named album of the month in 2021 for Rock Hard France & Italy and Powerplay UK, TRANK will release their second album, “The Maze”, on November 29th, 2024.

Being a gang of passionate music lovers with eclectic influences (from Guns’n’Roses to Porcupine Tree, from Depeche Mode to Queens of the Stone Age, from Toto to Massive Attack, from Pink Floyd to Nine Inch Nails), TRANK give very little concern to the matter of whether their music can be summarized into a single, simple genre tag : what they DO care about is big sound, and big emotions. Their brand of “heavy alt-rock” (“it’s both vague enough and precise enough to fit us like a glove. Well, a boxing glove that is”) blends catchy, metal-and-stoner-flavored riffs with powerful, richly textured rhythms, atmospheric post-punk synths and intensely emotional, melodic vocals, that turn lyrical introspection into infectious energy. Every TRANK song is a self-contained widescreen short film. This unique hybrid of intensity, texture and melody turns out to have broad appeal – in fact, their first singles in 2018 and 2019 caught the attention of such established and diverse names as Papa Roach, Disturbed, Anthrax or even Deep Purple, who chose the band to open for them in huge venues (from 5,000 to 16,000 people), each time a major success.

TRANK’s new album, “The Maze”, explores the complexities of how human minds, hearts and relationships work (or don’t), over 11 songs produced by the band with Yvan Barone (veteran Montreux Jazz Festival sound engineer), mixed in New York by Brian Robbins (Asking Alexandria, Bring me the Horizon) and mastered by Andy Van Dette (Porcupine Tree, David Bowie).
