MiND is a French rock band that started in 2012 in the Paris area.
Initially, these four boys have been friends for more than ten years when Vincent (guitarist and composer) proposed to start a new project under the name Mind Thesis. All members share many influences from British rock and hard rock (Muse, Biffy Clyro, Nothing But Thieves…) as well as American rock bands and artists (Foo Fighters, Jack White, Shinedown…).
After a few months and some gigs, the band decided to simplify their name and kept only MiND. In the spring of 2013, the band decided to participate in two musical competitions in Paris: Emergenza & Fallenfest. The band reached the semi-finals of Emergenza France and the final of Fallenfest with a gig at La Cigale, a famous Parisian concert hall with almost 1,400 people present during the performance. MiND finished this edition in second place and was elected Rock Band of the edition. They won a promotional gig at La Boule Noire, another famous Parisian concert hall, to promote their first self-produced album, “The Cognition”, released in March 2014.
Over the next two years, MiND participated in more than 40 gigs and released “Falling Down”, a 5-track EP, in June 2016. After twenty more gigs, an international pandemic, and many long months without the possibility of sharing music, the band decided to produce their new album in 2022 and release it in October 2024. The album is titled “EVOLUTION THEORY”.
